The start of spring
May brings the
start of spring... Himalyan Fair in Live Oak Park in Berkeley,
Jazz on 4th Street, Carnival in San Francisco, and more somber celebrations... Memorial
Day
Over the past years we've gone to ceremonies
honoring those who have thought for our freedoms. I highly recommend
taking the time out to honor those who made extraordinary sacrifices
for others. In 2004 I went to the USS
Hornet in Alameda to watch the dedication of the World War II
Monument in Washington DC. When they started singing "God
Bless America" tears came to my eyes. It's a wonderful
country, and made so only by the sacrifices of others.
Oakland's Mountain View Cemetery, San Bruno's
Golden Gate Memorial Cemetery, and the San Francisco Presidio have
events every Memorial Day. Ceremonies usually start between 10-11
